interesting lines
Seetharama Sharma :
An act of compassion or love is a selfless act.
Eg. You are walking on a street, you see a man struggling in cold, you just give him your jacket, you walk way.
The act is spontaneous, it was never thought of before. You never wished for it before. You don't gain anything!
Manish Chibba :
You gave your jacket to the man...this act is not involuntary...you did it because you wanted to do it...you did not gain anything materialistically, but still you gained something in your mind
Seetharama Sharma :
Then only Buddha can be selfless
none else can be selfless
Manish Chibba :
hence my blog
Seetharama Sharma :
But I am liking the flow
Seetharama Sharma :
maybe one day you will go further more!!!
Manish Chibba :
whats the flow that you see ?
Seetharama Sharma :
You are questioning the right things!! but as of now you are satisfied with your own answers..but someday they'll come back to you because the answers are not complete
(Again, answering with the limitations of my wisdom :D)
Manish Chibba :
true...the answers are not complete and will never be...the answers to these questions lie in the person's ability to take the answer as an answer
Seetharama Sharma :
when you get the ability, the answer will be waiting for you
Flow is towards Philosophy which leads to spirituality
Manish Chibba :
inadvertently, yes
Seetharama Sharma :
doesn't matter! does it!
Manish Chibba :
ideally, it doesnt
Seetharama Sharma :
Man's ultimate quest is (should be) to reach the state of Buddha. To be complete. The state where in you don't gain or loose anything. So, somehow we are, in our own ways driven towards that quest.
In this case, let's say inadvertently ;)
Manish Chibba :
true, totally agree

Manish introduced me to his blog and shared his thoughts about Selfishness or Selflessness through this

Then came the discussion over Sametime. And now I am blogging our conversation just like it happened!
